Crockpot Pear and Apple Compote
When it comes to good things, we think crock pots are up there with vanilla candles, giant salad bars and sentimental coffee mugs. Making a fall inspired pear and apple compote in a slow cooker jumps it straight to the top!
- 2 to 3 sliced apples
- 2 to 3 sliced pears
- 2 Tbs butter – melted
- 1 cup juice, I used Farmstand Pomegranate juice
- 1/4 cup Chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup craisins
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 TBS DOVE Cinnamon-Pear Balsamic
- 1 cup of water
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
Combine all the ingredients and mix in crockpot.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours, until all the ingredients are soft and mixed.
Serve alone, over ice cream, or any way you like!
