Chipotle. Bacon. Cornbread. Need we say more? This new dish is one you definitely want to add to your holiday weekend. Happy Friday, friends!
Chipotle Bacon Cornbread
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 TBSP granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup Dove Chipotle Olive Oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 6 pieced bacon, crisply fried and cut into pieces
Preheat the oven to 450°.
Put all of the dry ingredients into a bowl. Whisk them together.
Add the eggs, milk, sour cream and Dove Chipotle Olive Oil to the dry ingredients and stir just until mixed.
Gently stir in the bacon pieces.
When all of the bacon is stirred in, pour the batter into a greased 8″ x 8″ square pan or a 9″ round pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 – 25 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and cool.
